Misty River English Goldens is a mother-daughter run business. We originally started Misty River in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We moved to Arizona in July of 2022. We are so excited to be here and contributing to our new community by spreading the joy through puppies.
We truly believe in the therapeutic nature that owning dogs has on dog owners.
HEART OF GOLD
Hello! I’m Amanda and I am excited to partner with my daughter on this adventure of bringing exquisite English Cream Goldens into families’ hearts and homes!
I have spent many years breeding/raising all different sorts of animals, and I have to say, this is by far my favorite! When my American Golden passed away, I knew my neighbor bred the “white” Goldens. So, she invited me over to meet 18 beautiful puppies and asked me if I would like to be in her Guardian program! I was blessed with the honor of having first pick and I thought it was going to be difficult, but Haylee picked me out and that was that!
After that, I was sucked in, and I began a relationship with Kathy of Moonlight Goldens. I spent 3 years helping with the actual breeding, in the whelping box, vet care and loving on the puppies. After seeing how happy and healthy the puppies and mommas were, I knew that this system was what I wanted in my breeding program!
I am a believer that the mommas do need to be dogs and in loving homes. I do not look at them with dollars signs, but as someone’s beloved friend. If at any time I feel it’s in the mom’s best interest to not continue to be in the breeding program, I retire her, even if it’s at one litter.

LIFE IS GOLDEN
Hello! I'm Emily. I am Amanda's daughter. I recently joined her as partners in Misty River. I am so excited to work with her in enhancing the English Cream breed. My small family of 3 is myself, my husband, and our American Golden, Nismo! We love doing pretty much anything outdoors together as long as Nismo can tag along.

WHY ENGLISH GOLDENS?
Although we started off raising American Goldens, Amanda always had a dream to bring an English Cream into the family. After the death of our dear 4 legged friend Lucy, Amanda stumbled upon the opportunity to be a guardian home for an English Cream named Haylee. Since then there was no going back! Now, here we are hoping to bless other families with the same opportunity we had!
